Fitapreta Chão dos Eremitas Tinta Carvalha 2020 Red Wine
Colour very open, ruby, intense fresh nose, notes of bitter red fruit, pomegranate notes of graphite. Very fine tense attack, elegant with a lot of depth and tension. A red that shows that Alentejo can be something else
Tinta Carvalha is a varietal from the ancient varieties of the Alentejo vineyard,half-sister of Castelão and Moreto, daughter of the crossing between Sarigo and Alfrocheiro Preto. This 100% Tinta Carvalha, the only one monovarietal in Portugal. A bewildering wine, that shown the role of this varietal in the old vineyards of Alentejo. Freshness and purity.

Ruby colour with some violet hints, medium concentration. On the nose, lots of red woodland fruit, some undergrowth. Fresh attack, good fruit with hints of pomegranate. Very fine, long and structured.

A different white wine, marked by the carving, based first on the fruit and freshness of the varieties, with a second dimension dominated by the earthy, almost chemical notes of the carving. In the mouth some texture, always supported in tension and acidity
