Francisco Gonçalves is a man from the North, but he is not confined to a Region or a project.

He was born in Montalegre in 1974 and went to the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro, where he began his studies in wine, the discovery of unique notes, a character with a signature, a journey with links to the Douro, the Greens and Trás-os-Montes without forgetting the potential of the other Demarcated Regions, for which curiosity sharpens and risks knowledge. Biotechnician, winemaker, passionate about wines. Dedicated to Portuguese wines, a specialist in the Douro region and a defender of the homonymous Rio is a catalyst without frontiers for the production of quality wine, which has made it a pioneer in cross-border cooperation. Francisco travels now to Dão, equipped with technique and dedication, to lead with art the unique wines - Casa de São Matias.
