The house of Romariz was founded in 1850 by Manoel da Rocha Romariz, a well-known family from Oporto. In 1966 the Romariz family retired from the business and sold its brand to the house Guimaraens & Cª. In 1987, Romariz became an integral part of the company The Fladgate Partnership, which focused heavily on the reconstruction of this important brand
