Quinta do Crasto LBV 2015 Port Wine

Quinta do Crasto LBV is dark ruby in colour with red fruit aromas and good concentration and length on the palate. This wine is bottled unfiltered. This allows the wine to maintain its characteristics and evolve throughout the years. Decanting is recommended

Deep purple in colour, LBV by Quinta do Crasto shows an extraordinary intensity of wild fruit aromas, elegant cocoa notes and delicate spice hints. The same intensity is found on the palate, with excellent volume and a compact structure made up of serious, polished and fine-textured tannins. Everything is lovely wrapped in fresh wild berry fruit notes. This is a wine with a balanced finish and as it was bottled without filtration it meets all the conditions for evolving positively in the bottle

The nose shows fresh notes of wild berry fruit and delicate hints of cocoa. Full-bodied wine, with a solid structure made of massive, ripe tannins. Everything is beautifully combined with wild berry fruit aromas
    Vinification
The grapes with their stems were then slightly crushed and transferred to a traditional stone tank (“lagar”) where they were foot trodden. After this, the grape spirit was added to stop the fermentation and fortify the wine

It ages in oak casks from the harvest year until it is bottled

It has a bright amber colour with excellent aromatic intensity, where you can find notes reminiscent of honey, orange peel and soft dried fruit. It develops in the mouth into a wine with excellent concentration, volume and structure, made up of fine-textured tannins. A seductive wine that finishes complex and very persistent
