The history of the family business João M. Barbosa is recent but the personal experience acquired is already a lot. <p>Cartuxa Red Wine pours an intense garnet color. Its aroma is complex and elegant, with notes of ripe red and black fruits beautifully integrated with touches of spices, tobacco, and vanilla from its time in wood. On the palate, it is a full-bodied wine with firm yet rounded tannins and a balanced acidity, leading to a long, persistent, and complex finish. This structured profile makes it an excellent pairing for dishes of red meat, game, and roasted pork, as well as rich oven dishes and semi-cured or aged cheeses.</p>
<p></p><p>Quinta da Pacheca is one of the best known estates in the Douro region and also one of the first properties to bottle wine under its own label. It is first mentioned in a document dated April 1738 but it was only in 1903, when Dom José Freire de Serpa Pimentel decided to develop his interest in oenology, began to seriously dedicate himself to the risky business of winemaking. Today, a century and many successes later, a brand-new generation of the Serpa Pimentel family</p> <p></p>
<p>Cartuxa REserva Red Wine presents deep garnet in color, it reveals aromas of ripe red and black fruits intertwined with notes of spice, cocoa, and fine oak. On the palate, it is full-bodied and structured, with firm yet polished tannins, balanced acidity, and a long, elegant finish. With 15% alcohol, Cartuxa Tinto is best enjoyed at 16–18 ºC and pairs beautifully with roasted red meats, game dishes, and mature cheeses.</p>
