“Quinta do Vallado, established in 1716, is one of the oldest and most famous “Quintas” in the Douro Valley”. It once belonged to the legendary Dona Antónia Adelaide Ferreira, and still belongs to her descendents
<p>Quinta da Foz is located in the heart of the Douro Wine Region, in the Cima Corgo sub-region, in the parish of Gouvães do Douro, Sabrosa, and shares on its banks the junction of the Pinhão and Douro rivers.</p>
<p></p> <p>Confirma-se presents a very expressive nose, with predominant notes of fresh red fruit (raspberry, strawberry, cherry), but surrounded by a fresh and seductive mineral aroma. In the mouth, the granite mill and wood ageing component comes through - a dry, structured wine with a wide mouth, tannins present and character. It finishes long and refreshing, with vibrant acidity and tannins that are present but soft.</p>

In the mouth, it is a full-bodied red with excellent volume, structure, and solidity, combining red fruit and spice flavors. <br />The finish is potent and captivating, showing fresh tannins of excellent tension and quality, resulting in a red with strong character, notable persistence, and freshness. Serve at 16ºC without decanting; it is recommended for strong red meat dishes or roasted and stewed game.</p>
