Branco da Gaivosa is an excellent white wine produced in the Douro region
It is in the Douro that the Alves de Sousa family produces their wines, according to a family tradition of 5 generations. Working only the grapes of the family vineyards (Quinta da Gaivosa, Vale da Raposa, Caldas, Estação, Aveleira and Oliveirinha), developed a complete range of Douro wines of great character and quality.
<p></p><p>Quinta do Pégo is located in the Douro demarcated region in the heart of the area classified as World Heritage by Unesco. According to historical documents the production of wine at Quinta do Pégo can be dated back to 1548.</p>

<p></p><p>The Lés-a-Lés project came from winemaker Jorge Rosa Santos' desire to recover old grape varieties and styles of wines that almost no longer exist in Portugal. Each wine is, therefore, an invitation to discover forgotten heritage. Just like the expression "Lés-a-Lés" in Portuguese means "to go from one end to the other".</p>
<p></p><p>On the nose, very fresh and elegant with notes of wild berries and black cherries in balance with seductive nuances of licorice, the aroma being complexed by discrete wood notes. In the mouth, it is very concentrated, warm, with firm tannins and soft texture, very intense finish and persists to show strongly the strength of the wines of the Alto Douro.</p>
