Séries Bastardo 2017 Red Wine
Séries Bastardo Red Wine
Bastardo is typical grape from the Douro Valley, however also known in France as Trousseau. It is very well known in the Douro, not only for its constant presence in the Old Vines of the region, but for having a name which invoques something unwanted and controversial (The Bastard!). Bastardo represents once more the passion for innovation and discovery, though this fabulously intense, elegante and fruitful red.

The Series wines represent the passion for innovation and experimentation in the search for new and interesting wines.
This effort reflects the backstage work developed by winemaking and viticulture team, through a selection of more than 30 different indiginous grape varietals (some close to extinction) planted in Real Companhia Velha estates in the last 20 years. Thus, the grand objective is to search for a new style of Douro wine through the most distinct varieties and test it amongst our consumers
