Located in the extreme south-east of the Douro Demarcated Region, Quinta da Extrema is part of a vast property with four contiguous Quintas that make up 476 hectares, belonging to Colinas do Douro Sociedade Agrícola. <p></p><p>The Quinta do Côtto, in Cidadelhe, relatively close to the Régua, is a property of 75 hectares of vineyard and a plot built in the eighteenth century. The owners of the farm, the Montez Champalimaud family, exclusively produced Port wine until the beginning of the 20th century. In 1980 Miguel Champalimaud launched the first Quinta do Côtto Grande Escolha, consolidating the concept of Douro's quinta wines, which are still rare in the region.<br />The Quinta do Côtto brand has grown greatly in notoriety since then, until it became one of the most classic and prestigious references in the Douro region</p>
<p></p><p>Quinta da Rede Rosé wine is a very expressive wine, composed by Touriga Nacional (60%), Touriga Franca (15%) and Tinta Amarela (15%) grape varieties. It presents aromas of red fruits wrapped in a lively and balanced acidity. Although light, it is intense and dry with a fresh and harmonious finish. 50% of its wine is aged for 6 months in French oak barrels.</p>
