Quinta Nova de Nossa Senhora do Carmo is a place of extreme beauty in the heart of Douro valley and owned by Amorim family since 1999. But the «quinta» is much earlier than this and history confirms it as a great land belonging to the Portuguese Royal House, having been identified its first owner in 1725.

<p></p><p><span>The history of the wines of the Casas do Côro begins with the purchase of old vineyards with more than 80 years in Marialva and evolves with a plantation of 9 hectares of the best varieties of white grapes. With a common origin in the Beira interior, share a passion for the land where they were born, for their traditions, smells and aromas, there continuing to credit and bet heavily on a territory that they consider unique. They are wines with a very fresh and mineral character, with exuberant acidity but above all are wines with soul and proof that with good wines you can make good friends!</span></p>
<p></p><p><span>Quinta de S. José is a family project that began in early 1999 by the will of the João’s father, Ruy Brito e Cunha, due to the excellent location of the houses in the Quinta, practically on the side of the river.</span></p>
<p></p><p>H.O Pintão is the result of the rigorous selection of barrels from the different plots of Vinhas Velhas, with great emphasis on the "Travessas" plot.</p> <p>It is a wine with a deep ruby color and intensity. Its aroma is very young and full of fresh fruit, concentrated blackberry, blackcurrant, forest with balsamic and spicy barrel nuances. In the mouth, the tannins are both powerful and fine, giving this wine enormous ageing capacity of this wine.</p>
