Quinta de São José de Peramanca is located five kilometres from Évora, on National Road 114. The large and traditional house, marked by baroque architecture, and the church of San José adjacent to it facilitate identification. With 34 hectares, the Quinta has in the manor house and in its vineyard its greatest patrimony.

As for the peculiar name of the Quinta "Peramanca" (Pedra-Manca), it means "oscillating stone, not very safe", is explained by the existence in the region of large granite stones in oscillating balance. Since Roman times and over the centuries, the surroundings to the west of Évora have been considered as one of the most important regions producing quality wine, and the area has become known as "Terras de Peramanca", given the abundance of these oscillating stones.

The grapes used for the Redoma White come from old vines growing on the right bank of the Douro River, at an altitude of 500 to 600 metres. The predominant grape varieties are Rabigato, Cega do Larinho, Viosinho, Donzelinho and Gouveio. The mica schist soils in which these vines thrive lend the resulting wines plenty of minerality, elegance and vibrant freshness.

Vinha da Ponte Red has an opaque colour with deep purple hints. Complex aromas and intense on the nose, showing fresh berry fruit aromas, elegant floral notes and hints of fresh spice. Engaging and elegant beginning that leads to a voluminous and powerful wine, which combines round, finely-textured tannins with notes of fresh berry fruit. The finish is lingering and balanced. A charming, distinctive wine that will evolve in the bottle for many years.
