<p>In the glass, Monte da Peceguina Red Wine shows a deep ruby color with purple reflections. The nose reveals ripe red fruits, wild berries, and subtle floral notes, while the palate is smooth and elegant, with silky tannins, fresh acidity, and a long, persistent finish. <p></p><p>The Quinta Pedra da Cancela is the fruit of the passion for the wine of the Gouveia family. The winemaking operation has been a family activity for several generations, in the beginning they were delivering their grapes at the Adega Cooperativa. In 1999, with the end of the superior studies in Viticulture and Enology of João Paulo Gouveia, son of João Coelho Gouveia, they decide to create their own wine. The vineyards were restructured, others were acquired and a modern wine cellar was built and with a high technology, all respecting the culture of the Dão demarcated region. In 2014 the name of the company became Pedra Cancela Vinhos do Dão Lda</p>
<p></p><p>Pretexto is a Portuguese Dão red wine produced with own grapes from different vineyards in the Dão region with an altitude of 480-620 meters. Fermented in stainless steel with 30% whole bunch, it ages in French oak vats. It is the fruit that shines and dominates this wine combined with good acidity and a minty and balsamic profile. It is an elegant wine with the typical freshness of Dão</p>
<p>On the tasting notes, O Fugitivo Pinot Noir presents a lighter color typical of its varietal. Its aroma is rich with red fruits, potentially complemented by dry vegetal notes and a hint of tobacco, depending on the vintage. On the palate, it's described as elegant, delicate, and highly complex, showcasing firm yet fine tannins and a long finish. For food pairing, this versatile wine is an excellent match for roasted or stewed meat dishes and cheeses, best served between 14ºC and 16ºC.</p>
