    Complex aroma, with notes of dark fruits and wild flowers aroma, mineral and spicy. The palate is textured, with powerfull noble tannins, with well integrated acidity and a long finish

    The grapes were totally destemmed into a small granite “lagar”, where they macerated for 2 days at low temperature, before starting the alcoholic fermentation with indigenous yeasts at controlled temperature

    12 months in French oak barrels and 6 months in bottle before heading out to the market

The vineyards were restructured, others were acquired and a modern wine cellar was built and with a high technology, all respecting the culture of the Dão demarcated region. In 2014 the name of the company became Pedra Cancela Vinhos do Dão Lda</p>

          <p></p><p>Cabeço de Mocho Red Wine is the result of an excellent combination of Alfrocheiro, Jaen, Tinta Roriz and Touriga-Nacional grape varieties produced and vinified at Quinta das Camélias. It presents a deep ruby colour with dark red nuances. The aroma is very complex and delicate, showing mature notes of cherry and blackberry, combined with expressions of fresh vanilla and a light hint of clove. In the mouth it is full and round, well muscled with educated tannins. It shows finesse, exquisite bouquet and a long persistence. It should be served at 16-18º accompanying red meat dishes and strong cheeses.</p> <p>     </p>
