MOB Bical 2023 White Wine

MOB Bical has a beautiful citrus colour with greenish reflections, revealing freshness and youth. On the nose, there are notes of ripe white fruit, such as pear and apple, combined with a subtle minerality and delicate ‘nuances’ of dried fruit, giving it complexity and elegance.

On the palate, it is unctuous and enveloping, with good volume and a creamy texture. The well-balanced acidity provides freshness and prolongs the finish, marked by persistence and a captivating gastronomic profile. An expressive and harmonious wine, ideal with fish, seafood or white meat dishes.

The vines that make Textura da Estrela Red Wine have around 25 to 60 years old, in granite soils and with a production that never exceeds 4,5 tons per hectare. Vila Nova de Tazem (Serra da Estrela sub region) is a terroir where the labels “Textura da Estrela” comes from. This is a low intervention red wine in which we do short pump-overs in the first days of fermentation and then only cap management. Results in a very typical Dão reflecting their genuine terroir and sense of place

The Quinta Pedra da Cancela is the fruit of the passion for the wine of the Gouveia family. The winemaking operation has been a family activity for several generations, in the beginning they were delivering their grapes at the Adega Cooperativa. In 1999, with the end of the superior studies in Viticulture and Enology of João Paulo Gouveia, son of João Coelho Gouveia, they decide to create their own wine. The vineyards were restructured, others were acquired and a modern wine cellar was built and with a high technology, all respecting the culture of the Dão demarcated region. In 2014 the name of the company became Pedra Cancela Vinhos do Dão Lda

On the tasting notes, the Casa da Passarella Villa Oliveira Encruzado typically displays a citrus to yellowish color. The aroma is complex and elegant, featuring notes of white fruits (like lychee, white peach), citrus (orange peel, lime), and mineral, resinous, or smoky nuances, sometimes with hints of hazelnut or toasted bread from barrel aging. On the palate, it's a structured, full-bodied, fresh, and elegant wine, showcasing excellent balance between body and acidity, with a long, precise, and persistent finish. For food pairing, this versatile wine is ideal with structured fish dishes, seafood, white meats (like roasted poultry or stews), creamy pasta with mushrooms, and soft or aged cheeses. Its acidity and structure allow it to complement rich and flavorful dishes, while its elegance and aromatic complexity add an extra dimension to the gastronomic experience

M.O.B. Garrafeira is a wine that perfectly encapsulates the tradition and distinctive character of the Dão. Made from old vines and benefiting from prolonged ageing, this red reveals an impressive harmony between depth, freshness and elegance.

On the nose, it has a youthful yet complex and sophisticated aroma. Notes of noble spices from the barrel ageing stand out, surrounded by layers of ripe fruit and mineral ‘nuances’, with an intriguing hint of hot iron.

On the palate, the aromatic promise is confirmed: the structure is full and creamy, supported by vibrant acidity and dense but very well integrated tannins. The wine maintains a remarkable balance, with a fresh and refined profile, leading to a broad, long and precise finish.
