The Quinta Pedra da Cancela is the fruit of the passion for the wine of the Gouveia family. The winemaking operation has been a family activity for several generations, in the beginning they were delivering their grapes at the Adega Cooperativa. In 1999, with the end of the superior studies in Viticulture and Enology of João Paulo Gouveia, son of João Coelho Gouveia, they decide to create their own wine. The vineyards were restructured, others were acquired and a modern wine cellar was built and with a high technology, all respecting the culture of the Dão demarcated region. In 2014 the name of the company became Pedra Cancela Vinhos do Dão Lda

Quinta da Fata is located in the demarcated region of Dão Wine. The slight slope to the south gives you a sunny exposure that benefits the wine and makes it particularly pleasant.

Casa da Passarella O Fugitivo Tinta Pinheira displays a vivid, often youthful ruby color. On the nose, it offers prominent red fruit aromas (such as cherry and raspberry) and a characteristic vegetal touch, sometimes with hints of pine. The palate is elegant, delicate, and complex, featuring a light to medium body, fresh acidity, and fine, well-integrated tannins. It culminates in a long, persistent finish, indicating good aging potential. Its refined nature makes it an excellent pairing for red meats (especially roasted and grilled), poultry, and aged cheeses. It can also surprisingly complement richer fish dishes due to its balanced acidity.

Quinta da Lomba White Wine not only embodies everything that the Dão region’s grape varieties have to offer but also the splendour of its hundred-year-old vines.

The palate impresses with its elegance, firm structure, and saline, spicy profile. The wine’s acidity points to the vineyard’s granite soils and lends the wine freshness as well as a lingering, complex finish. This is a very serious and unique white wine which will mature beautifully in the bottle and should be enjoyed out of Burgundy-style wine glasses
