<p></p> <p>Herdade do Monte da Ribeira was acquired in 1986 by the industrialist Victor Carmona e Costa who, in the following 15 years, not only completely reformed the estate, but also implemented the entire productive agricultural structure and wine cellar.<br />Herdade is owned by Casa Agrícola HMR SA, which is wholly owned by a foundation that bears the name of its two Founders, the Victor and Graça Carmona e Costa Foundation. The Foundation, with headquarters and own facilities in Lisbon, is dedicated to supporting contemporary art in Portugal and Casa Agrícola HMR SA is one of its foundational assets</p>
<p></p><p><span>Established in 1958, Herdade da Farizoa is located in the Alentejo village of Terrugem, 17km from the historic town of Elvas, in the Borba subregion.The property has a total area of 157 hectares (388 acres), being 60 hectares (146 acres) vineyards. The remaining land is an extensive reserve of cork trees and holm oaks, known as montado, characteristic of the Alentejo landscapes.</span></p>

He was also known as Mr. Mouchão when he started to lead the oenology team of this classic Alentejo producer, as well as his classic mustaches that stand out from the crowd</p>

Is a Commercial Society by Quotas constituted by public deed, the 16 of December of 1968.<br />It is the result of the merger of two small producers who started their activities many years before 1968 and later created the firms Manuel Joaquim Mira and Domingos Luiz Pinto & Filho, Lda., Both with wide traditions in the wine field. Therefore, and as a result of such merger, SOVIBOR is managed by people traditionally linked to the wine business.</p>

The origin of one of the oldest agricultural enterprises in the country, founded in 1928 under the name Sociedade Agrícola Paço do Conde, is now managed by the current owners, José António Ferrão Castelo Branco, Luís Miguel Ferrão Castelo Branco and Maria Luísa Castelo Branco Schmidt, grandchildren of the founder.</p>
<p></p><p>Natus Red Wine</p> <p>At the heart of Vidigueira, in the southern foothills of Serra do Mendro, in poor schist soils, the bush vines that make this wine are planted in a hot climate, buffered with cool nights. The traditional grape varieties, mainly Trincadeira and Castelão, were hand-picked and foot trodden for 2 days. At the initialization of the spontaneous fermentation, they were pressed and the must kept in uncoated 19th century clay pots (Talhas) until the end of the alcoholic fermentation. The 12-month aging was made in centenary 600L barrels made of Portuguese oak and chestnut, and 300L used French barrels.</p>
<p></p><p>Quinta do Zambujeiro is located about 170 km southeast of Lisbon, in the Alentejo. Emil Strickler a Swiss wine connoisseur bought the property in 1998. A team of experts, Nuno Malta, assisted by Winemaker and Winemaker Luis Lourinho and Globalwine AG's consultant oenologist, Alain Bramaz</p>
