Encosta do Sobral Grande Reserva Red wine is a blend of Syrah and Touriga Franca grapes, which have been foot-trodden in the traditional lagares of Encosta do Sobral. The press wine is combined with the free run juice and immediately transferred to new 300-liter French oak barrels. Here, it ages on the lees from malolactic fermentation for a period of 25 months, adding complexity and depth to the wine. The Cabernet Sauvignon and Touriga Nacional wines undergo a process of daily délestages (rack and return) and are left on the skins for 21 days before pressing. These wines then spend 18 months maturing in 225-liter French and American oak barrels. The result of this meticulous process is a wine rich in flavor, with a balanced structure and a captivating aroma.

The fruit flavours are perfectly balanced with the oak influence, creating a harmonious experience. Its excellent natural acidity contributes to the wine's overall balance and enhances its potential for longevity in the bottle. This wine is a true reflection of the Fernão Pires grape, making it an excellent choice for those who appreciate complexity and finesse in a white wine. Enjoy it chilled with seafood, grilled vegetables, or light pasta dishes for an elevated dining experience.

Due to its gastronomic versatility, Campolargo Baga and Castelão is the ideal pairing for grilled red meats, roasted poultry, and traditional dishes like Bairrada suckling pig. It also pairs excellently with medium-aged cheeses and sausages and can be found in stores like Portugal Vineyards.
