<p></p><p><span>Quinta de la Rosa port wine is made each year in the traditional manner, trodden in granite lagares from grapes grown at Quinta de la Rosa. Each year they keep back a small quantity of their best ports LBV quality and above. It is from these stocks that they blend their Tonel 12. This blending occurs on a regular basis to ensure that stocks are always fresh. For many years, before 1988, when they started selling port under the La Rosa brand, the Bergqvist family used to go down to 'Tonel 12' (a large 25 pipe barrel kept in the lodge under the house) and fill their decanter full of delicious ten year old tawny direct from the barrel. To this day they still refer to Tonel 12, instead of ten year old tawny, and decided to keep the name on the label</span></p>

<p>The Quinta do Infantado Vintage 2020 is a magnificent wine with a deep purple-red color and a delicate aroma filled with red fruits, crystallized violet, blackberry, blueberry, and subtle floral hints. Its medium-bodied yet solid structure supports a range of flavors, including red fruits, dried fruit, chocolate, caramel, coffee, nuts, and warm spices, with a long, spicy finish. The wine's production process involves careful grape harvesting, mechanical crushing, partial destemming, fermentation with indigenous yeasts, and aging in century-old barrels and vats, contributing to its structure and complexity.<br /><br />The blend includes Portugal's finest grape varieties: Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Tinto Cão, and Tinta Barroca. It pairs well with classic blue cheeses and chocolate-based desserts. Best served at 16–17°C, the Quinta do Infantado Vintage 2020 also has excellent bottle aging potential, able to develop additional complexity over the years under ideal cellar conditions. This wine epitomizes the rich tradition of Portuguese winemaking.</p>
