Therefore they started storing as much Madeira Wine as possible, letting it slowly mature inside the barrels for future generations to be able to enjoy it further. For that reason, D’Oliveiras is the only Madeira Wine company that owns Madeira Wine bottles and Barrels from as far as the 1850’s that can still be commercially purchased.</p>

<p></p><p>The story of Henriques &amp; Henriques, founded by João Gonçalves Henriques, dates back to 1850. After his death in 1912, a partnership was established between his two sons, Francisco Eduardo and Joaquim Henriques, which gave rise to the name Henriques &amp; Henriques .<br />From the earliest times, Henriques &amp; Henriques occupied a prominent place in viticulture and the art of making wine. In 1913 the family interests were constituted in a company of the family that, in 1925, began its activity like exporter of its wines to the detriment of the local supply to other exporters</p>

<p></p><p>HM Borges Malvasia 50 Years Old has a brownish topaz colour with orange reflections. The palate has an intoxicating, clean, elegant and extremely complex flavour. Well-structured acidity and body in harmony with the sweetness and tannins. Sweet wine, very full-bodied and rich in old cask aromas where toasted almonds, vanilla with hints of iodine, tobacco and caramel predominate.</p> <p>The wine is aged in French and American oak casks, in the traditional process until bottling.</p> <p>This wine is delicious with dried fruit, especially walnuts, almonds and hazelnuts. It pairs well with dried fruit cakes, honey cakes, butter biscuits, dark or milk chocolate, pralines and petit-fours. It's a wine that is elegant with Portuguese and blue cheeses or even simply with a good cigar</p>

<p></p><p>Listrão dos Profetas wine comes from these old vines that are over 80 years old, in what is our first attempt at this unique terroir</p> <p>It presents pale yellow colour, intense nose, saline, mineral, notes of gunpowder and iodine. In the mouth, a full, textured attack, the aromas are repeated on the retronasal. Super persistent.</p> <p>An Atlantic wine from limestone soils, which calls for pairing with seafood, such as scallops, clams, hard-shell clams, which in their preparation include warm flavours, such as semi-fatty fish already with some intensity.</p>
