<p></p><p>Since 1751 Ferreira name has always been synonymous with high-quality Portuguese wine. The brand's history is intertwined with the history of the evolution of the Douro Region (demarcated in 1756) and its Porto and table wines (Douro DOC).</p> <p>Dona Antonia, endowed with exceptional energy and a rare commercial talent gave great impetus to wine-growing in Douro and was well-known for her acts of social welfare in the region. <p></p><p>Susana Esteban was born in Tui, Spain. She holds a degree in Chemical Sciences from the University of Santiago de Compostela and a Master's degree in Viticulture and Oenology from the University of La Rioja. She began her trajectory as an oenologist in 1999 at Quinta do Côtto, and later worked as an oenologist at Quita do Crasto between 2002 and 2007. Both farms are located in the Douro. She has worked since the 2007 harvest as a consultant in different Alentejo producers, namely Tiago Cabaço Wines, Herdade do Barrocal, Monte dos Cabaços and Monte da Raposinha.</p>

<p></p><p>AlmaNua Terroir Maritimo is the wine of discovery, creation and innovation, made in Requião, in the maritime terroir. Here the versatility of Alvarinho is explored in combinations with other varieties planted in the same area. Alvarinho is always in the majority and the grape varieties for the blend are chosen at each harvest. Winemaking follows the Mixtus concept and the final wine results from fermentation in stainless steel and wood, the latter being light and used to give the blend structure.</p> <p>In 2024 Manuel and Luís Cerdeira selected the Arinto and Maria Gomes grape varieties for the final wine blend with Alvarinho.</p>
