Poças Reserva white was produced from traditional varieties of the Douro Demarcated Region and from the higher areas to ensure freshness
It all began in 1918 when on 15 August, a few months before the Armistice, Manoel Domingues Poças Júnior, born in the heart of the Port Wine hustle and bustle, decided to establish his own company. With his uncle, he created a company to sell grape spirits to large Port Wine shippers. Soon afterwards he opened the head offices in Vila Nova de Gaia, where they remain to this date. Today, with three quintas in the best winemaking areas of the Douro Demarcated Region, Poças ensures its total control over the quality of its wines and the family is more involved than ever before

Quinta do Espinho covers 20 hectares over Távora River on the left bank of Douro River, the wine culture centre of Douro Valley in the sub-region of Cima Corgo where some of the most emblematic Port Wine farms are situated.

Thirty years ago, one branch of the Macedo Pinto family has taken over Quinta do Espinho, driving it to the production of top class red wine in the Douro

Approach at Quinta de Cottas is to capture the essence of the Douro Valley’s premier vineyards producing wines with high quality, distinct personality that pair well with food and are accessibly priced.
Quinta de Cottas house style is the blend of the vineyards with the winery’s personality and winemaking priorities, as expressed through the wines. Although the wines are different in each vintage, a thread of similarity ties them together

Van Zellers & Co. was officially established in 1780 as an exporter of Port Wine for the first generation of Portuguese van Zelleres

Quinta do Ventozelo is one of the largest and oldest Douro Quintas. It has been passing through different hands over the centuries, hands that shaped it and transformed it to what it is today.
