Inserted in the purest landscape of Alto Douro Vinhateiro, in Ervedosa do Douro, São João da Pesqueira, the Quinta do Pessegueiro winery distinguishes itself by its extraordinary architecture. Authentic challenge of technology, this cellar has been designed in such a way to use the natural gravity throughout the whole process that turns the grape into wine. The wines produced at Quinta do Pessegueiro are the result of a complete and balanced project.

This deep violet wine has an aroma of fresh red berries and a spicy finish. On the palate, it is full-bodied, very balanced and has a very pleasant fruity finish.

The Ermos Mountains share the landscape with the vineyards overlooking the Douro of the municipality of Freixo de Espada à Cinta, in the Upper Douro. Inserted in a unique landscape, which holds us by the way nature manifests itself. In Freixo de Espada à Cinta, land of myths and legends, is where the Douro River meets the wine, this is where the Douro begins. This beauty is naturally reflected in the Montes Ermos wines

The Quinta do Filoco vineyards produce the best nectars of the Douro region, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The vineyards and the Cellar were being modernized with new equipment, combining tradition and modernity in the well know how to make wine. The vineyards stretched along 130 hectares, surrounded by thickets with typically Mediterranean vegetation that contribute to the unique terroir of the Filoco wines.

Manuel Correia Rosé Wine reveals great aromatic intensity, with floral notes and fresh red fruit such as strawberries and raspberries. On the palate it's light, balanced and greedy, leaving a long feeling of freshness.

Pôpa Reserva is a white wine with a very complex nose, where very elegant floral aromas stand out. On the palate, it's fresh, pure and has high acidity and a long, savoury finish.

These are wines where balance stands out, with vibrant freshness and acidity, fruit aromas and floral notes, but also body and structure, imprinted by ageing in wood. Wines to drink at the table with comfort food.

The Symington family, with Scottish, English and Portuguese ancestry has been present in the Douro for five generations — since 1882 — and through the current generation’s great grandmother, the family’s links to the wines of the Douro span 14 generations, to the mid-17th century and to the very beginnings of the history of Port
