<p></p><p>Quinta do Javali Maria Luisa Red Wine presents initial nose with spices (black pepper), grass and understory notes. Aromas of cigar and shale follow. After some time of aeration, notes of black plum and dark chocolate appear. As a result of a patient wait, the ripe black fruit appears in all its splendor.“Grandiose” mouth, with an enormous richness in well-balanced tannins with surprising acid freshness. The immense structure supports the fruity flavors of black plum with “grandeur”. There are even “earthy” sensations, again with stunning freshness.</p>

<p></p><p>Vinha do Carril Red Wine is the Niepoort family's latest iconic wine, from a centenary vineyard that surrounds the Nápoles estate in the upper Corgo. The natural heterogeneity of an old vineyard, the grape varieties that make it up and the stories that have lived through its 100 years of existence, mark its complexity and enhance the Douro as a region capable of producing world-class wines.</p> <p>Vinha do Carril shows displays a pale, bright red hue, with purple glints. <p></p><p><span>Nuno Aguiar (winemaker, former collaborator of Anselmo Mendes) and António Olazabal Ferreira (marine biologist in accelerated conversion to winemaker) have launched a wine called Boina, the first one is from 2015 and has a very appealing aesthetic. A series of wines that the duo began to produce in the Douro and in Trás-os-Montes, under the Portugal Boutique Winery project. The brand Boina groups the wines without wood of the Douro.</span></p>
