Quinta da Pacheca is one of the best known estates in the Douro region and also one of the first properties to bottle wine under its own label. It is first mentioned in a document dated April 1738 but it was only in 1903, when Dom José Freire de Serpa Pimentel decided to develop his interest in oenology, began to seriously dedicate himself to the risky business of winemaking. <p></p><p>The Quinta do Filoco vineyards produce the best nectars of the Douro region, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The vineyards and the Cellar were being modernized with new equipment, combining tradition and modernity in the well know how to make wine. The vineyards stretched along 130 hectares, surrounded by thickets with typically Mediterranean vegetation that contribute to the unique terroir of the Filoco wines.</p>
<p></p><p>Secret Spot is a project by Gonçalo Sousa Lopes and Rui Cunha that aims to produce wines from a single vineyard that has the potential to originate a wine of unique qualities.</p>
<p></p><p><span>Quinta de S. José is a family project that began in early 1999 by the will of the João’s father, Ruy Brito e Cunha, due to the excellent location of the houses in the Quinta, practically on the side of the river.</span></p>
<p></p> <p>Firmado Reserva White Wine has a very complex nose with pronounced fruit (mandarin, grapefruit, pear, pineapple), dried fruit (walnut, almond), mineral (gunpowder, sweet notes (cinnamon, ginger) and a slight vanilla. In the mouth, the definition of the pear, dried fruit and vanilla stand out. Slightly delicate tannins that add unctuousness and mouthfeel. It finishes long and persistent with a frank, salivating acidity.</p>

<p></p><p>The brothers Antonio and Edmar Monteiro are the founders of the 1912 Winemakers company. </p> <p>The passion for the world of wine comes early in the life of these two brothers, who since childhood helped their father at the Quinta de São Bernardo property on the banks of the Douro River.<br />Later they acquired Quinta de Águas, which allowed them to increase production but maintaining the same quality as the wines produced</p> <p></p>
