<p></p><p>The company was founded in 1926 by Mr. Messias Baptista, who served as chairman until 1973. The management is still held by the descendants of MESSIAS family. <span id="result_box" lang="en" xml:lang="en">Since its foundation</span> that MESSIAS <span lang="en" xml:lang="en">has been producing and selling high quality wines from the main demarcated regions:</span> Bairrada, Douro, Dão, Vinho Verde, Beiras and Vinho do Porto. Complex and intense aroma, where ripe black fruits stand out together with balsamic aromas and spicy notes from the barrel ageing. On the palate it is firm and concentrated, with balanced acidity and ripe tannins that are well involved in its body and volume. The finish is long and persistent. <p></p> <p>Migalha by Palato do Coa Red Wine comes from an old vineyard, aged for three years in used barrels and two years in bottles before being commercialised.</p> <p>The aroma is very expressive, with red fruits and rock rose, the mysterious and vaguely mineral side typical of old vines. Beautiful architecture on the palate, with an excellent balance between body and acidity and plenty of verve to keep it going in the cellar.</p>
