Quinta da Pacheca is one of the best known estates in the Douro region and also one of the first properties to bottle wine under its own label. It is first mentioned in a document dated April 1738 but it was only in 1903, when Dom José Freire de Serpa Pimentel decided to develop his interest in oenology, began to seriously dedicate himself to the risky business of winemaking. Tasting Notes
Very aromatic, with cherry notes and very fresh floral notes. In the mouth is a fleshy wine, with good acidity, which gives it freshness, but at the same time very complex, very persistent.
Vinification
The grapes were harvested for 25 kg boxes. The first third of the fermentation took place in a stainless steel vat at a controlled temperature between 12-14 ° C and then transferred to new French oak barrels.
