<p></p><p>It began almost two decades ago, the passion and pleasure that the people of Quinta do Sobreiro do Cima put in the products that lead to themselves. Its pale red hue of medium intensity is characteristic of the wines from the 2018 vintage. The nose is at the same time delicate and complex. A base of currants and red berries gives way to floral aromas of violet, hints of Earl Grey tea, spice and a minty note which harmonises in a light and refreshing way with the wine’s wooded nuances. Gum rockrose aromas with an initial hints of berries, followed by flavours of ripe blackberries and blueberries, ending with a slightly spice, balsamic touch. The tannins are present but elegantly in this full-bodied wine with great volume, very well-integrated wooden notes, and a long, very persistent finish</p>
