Gricha 2018 Red Wine

Gricha is made from the old vineyards at Quinta da Gricha, like its big sister Quinta da Gricha. This is an elegant, lighter style of Douro wine, with less extraction. 

Bright garnet colour. Intense and expressive on the nose, combining fresh aromas of blueberries and spices. Delicate and complex on the palate, with black cherry flavours and a mineral layer, ending in a long, seductive, velvety finish.

Churchill's was founded in 1981 and is the only British Port Wine company to be established in 50 years. John Graham, the founder, had thus fulfilled the desire to produce a wine with its own individual style. In 1999, they bought Quinta da Gricha, with 50ha of vineyards on the south bank of the river Douro
