Pedra Cancela, is a Lusovini Vinhos de Portugal wine project started over 20 years ago by the family of Joao Paulo Gouveia.
They are "terroir" wines, using traditional grape varieties, in some cases almost extinct and vines of different ages, resulting in complex wines, full of identity, aiming to take the Dão to cross any borders.
The Quinta Pedra da Cancela is the fruit of the passion for the wine of the Gouveia family. The winemaking operation has been a family activity for several generations, in the beginning they were delivering their grapes at the Adega Cooperativa. In 1999, with the end of the superior studies in Viticulture and Enology of João Paulo Gouveia, son of João Coelho Gouveia, they decide to create their own wine. The vineyards were restructured, others were acquired and a modern wine cellar was built and with a high technology, all respecting the culture of the Dão demarcated region. In 2014 the name of the company became Pedra Cancela Vinhos do Dão Lda

Quinta do Paço, locatedin the village of Nespereira, Gouveia county, belonged to the Mello family, one of the most illustrious of the Kingdom, which was implemented in Beira Alta in the 13th century. Also known as "Melos do Pucaro". Nowadays Quinta do Paço belongs to Seacampo, a reference producer in the region of Dão

Lusus Red Winehas a bright garnet colour with a purple tinge. The nose is complex showing dark fruits, cassis and very subtle liquorice, with a hint of red peppercorn and tobacco spice. The palate is rich and powerful with plum, redcurrant leaf and black fruit flavours. The bright acidity balances this wine with fine, peripheral and incredibly long tannins, which give it a delicate and exquisite texture.

MOB was created by three winemakers, Jorge Moreira, Francisco Olazabal and Jorge Serôdio Borges, to make a wine together.

Pretexto Palhete Rosé Wine comes from the co-fermentation of white and red traditional grapes from Dão. The blend is composed by 70% of Jaen and Alfrocheiro and 30% of Encruzado and Bical from altitude vineyards and granitic soils. Intense colour with delicate aromas with spice character, discreet fruit and with some green notes associated to the use of whole bunch. Mouth with good acidity making this wine a gastronomic wine but very pleasant served at a lower temperature.

In the glass, A Descoberta Tinto presents a deep ruby color and aromas of fresh red berries, cherry, and light floral notes. On the palate, it is elegant, smooth, and well-balanced, with soft tannins and a clean, persistent finish. This wine is both easy to enjoy and refined, making it a versatile choice for pairing with grilled meats, roasted vegetables, or hard cheeses. It's a great introduction to the charm and complexity of Dão wines
