<p></p><p>The family company CM Wines was founded in 2004 but its history starts 4 years ago, in 2000, when José António Costa Marques acquired a 2 hectares plot in the Silgueiros area, located in the Dão Demarcated Region.<br />Over the years the area of this company increased with the acquisition of various plots. Currently the vineyard area extends over 12 hectares in 5 distinct plots and 2 ha of olive grove</p>

<p></p><p>The Quinta Pedra da Cancela is the fruit of the passion for the wine of the Gouveia family. The winemaking operation has been a family activity for several generations, in the beginning they were delivering their grapes at the Adega Cooperativa. In 1999, with the end of the superior studies in Viticulture and Enology of João Paulo Gouveia, son of João Coelho Gouveia, they decide to create their own wine. The vineyards were restructured, others were acquired and a modern wine cellar was built and with a high technology, all respecting the culture of the Dão demarcated region. In 2014 the name of the company became Pedra Cancela Vinhos do Dão Lda</p>
<p></p><p>Opta wines are the result of the partnership between Camilo Leite and oenologist Nuno Cancela de Abreu.<br />Focused on the foreign market and the international consumer, this brand affirms itself by its originality and I ask for dynamism that makes it able to follow the trends and participate in world growth.</p>
<p></p><p>Tinta Pinheira or Rufete is a grape variety that is rarely planted in Portugal but is found in some vineyards in the Dão. It has medium-sized bunches but lots of juice and ripens late. Textura da Estrela Tinta Pinheira is an open-coloured wine with lots of red fruit, good acidity but very delicate</p>
