<p></p><p>Lusus Red  Winehas a bright garnet colour with a purple tinge. The nose is complex showing dark fruits, cassis and very subtle liquorice, with a hint of red peppercorn and tobacco spice.  The palate is rich and powerful with plum, redcurrant leaf and black fruit flavours. The bright acidity balances this wine with fine, peripheral and incredibly long tannins, which give it a delicate and exquisite texture.</p>

<p></p><p>The Encruzado, Bical and Cercial-Branco vineyards that originate this wine have 25 to 60 years old and grow in granite soils. This wine fermented with indigenous yeasts in 2500 L foudre and cement tank, where aging took place “sur lie” without batonnage. It has a citrus profile and delicate aromas of orange peel, tea leaf and a slight toasted reduction. In the mouth, it has remarkable acidity and minerality. It has enormous aging potential</p>

The aroma is pure and precise, with notes of red fruits (cherries, blackberries, blueberries, wild strawberries), complemented by spicy black pepper notes, and sometimes earthy, mineral, and balsamic touches. On the palate, it is elegant and smooth, with a silky texture, great balance between volume and freshness, balanced acidity, and ripe, subtle tannins. The finish is long, revealing the full elegance of the grape and <i>terroir</i>. This wine's elegance and fruity-spicy profile make it an excellent gastronomic partner, ideal for grilled meat dishes, roast pork, aged cheeses, and spicier stews.</p>
