    Elpenor Reserva 2017 Red Wine

    Elpenor Reserva Red Wine has a deep red colour with cherry reflections. The aroma expresses elegant notes of black plum, blackberry, violet and bergamot, with nuances of rosemary and dry pine needles, in a fine and authentic profile. It reveals a very velvety and round flavour with the presence of firm and very civilized tannins with a well-structured and consistent cut. It shows good finesse and a persistent high-bouquet finish.

    This wine results from the combination of the four main grape varieties of the Dão region: Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Alfrocheiro and Jaen. Deep ruby coloured with an intense aroma of wild berries and bergamot. In the mouth it is full-bodied, without losing its elegance. The aftertaste is long and complex

Within the walls of the Palace we find the 10 hectares of vineyards, planted at 500 meters of altitude in granite soils, framed to the west by the majestic Serra da Estrela and flanked by the forest of the property. Belonging to the demarcated region of the Dão (sub-region Terras de Azurara) in the vineyards of the Palace we find the typical varieties of the Dão region: Touriga Nacional, Alfrocheiro, Jaen and Encruzado.</p>
