<p></p><p>Founded in London in 1737, initially as wine merchant, Offley was soon exporting wines and later began to produce its own Port Wine. The brand gained international recognition as a creator of premium quality port wines.</p>
<p></p><p>Since its foundation in 1880, Casa Ramos Pinto has remained an independent family business and maintained its own production strategy and continuous technical and technological research, characteristics still unparalleled in the sector.<br />The wines come from its four properties: Quinta do Bom Retiro and Quinta da Urtiga, located in the heart of the Douro, and Quinta dos Bons Ares and Quinta de Ervamoira, the most modern of the Upper Douro</p>
<p></p><p>The Symington family, with Scottish, English and Portuguese ancestry has been present in the Douro for five generations — since 1882 — and through the current generation’s great grandmother, the family’s links to the wines of the Douro span 14 generations, to the mid-17th century and to the very beginnings of the history of Port</p>

On the palate, it stands out for its regional character, direct and focused, with a presence of fresh floral, spices and slight citrus nuances. The balance is remarkable, with a beautiful acidity that gives it freshness and liveliness, making it flavoursome and captivating. <p></p><p>The Encruzado, Bical and Cercial-Branco vineyards that originate this wine have 25 to 60 years old and grow in granite soils. This wine fermented with indigenous yeasts in 2500 L foudre and cement tank, where aging took place “sur lie” without batonnage. It has a citrus profile and delicate aromas of orange peel, tea leaf and a slight toasted reduction. In the mouth, it has remarkable acidity and minerality. It has enormous aging potential</p>
