Quinta do Ortigão is located in the center of Anadia, heart of Bairrada.

The Quinta mixes the tradition, the contemporaneity and the vision that Augusto Brandão Alegre, the first man to produce sparkling wine in Portugal, managed to transmit to four generations entirely dedicated to the world of wine.
The great concern of the owners has always centered on the careful selection and planting of selected vine varieties that allow the production of wines of great complexity. The white wines include Sauvignon, Chardonay, Arinto, Bical and Maria Gomes. In the reds, the base variety of wines from Bairrada, Baga, is complemented by three varieties of high oenological quality, Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz and Cabernet Sauvignon.
At the beginning of the year 2001 the family decided to create their own farm wine, for which it was equipped with a modern and well-sized wine cellar.
With an exceptional quality raw material, state-of-the-art technology and the know-how of three generations, Quinta do Ortigão has the conditions to impose itself on the world of wine and to become a prestigious reference for the region and for the country.
