The Quinta do Cume wine is born in the solariums of the ancient land of Provezende, a historic village located on the right bank of the Douro River, in the heart of the Douro Vinhateiro, a region demarcated and classified by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site since 2001.

Jorge Tenreiro, a professional surgeon, always in love with the Douro, chose Provezende for the realization of a dream, which had all the characteristics of an excellent wine: rugged terrain, shady soil, proximity to water, ideal sun exposure and altitude (600m for white wines) and the lower vineyards provide for the reds, finally a terroir that gives it unequaled oenological properties. Own root cellar with current technology, allows the chosen winemaker Jean-Hugues-Gros to elaborate quality wines.
