Quinta de Santa Eufemia is another reliquary of unique history of the Douro Valley, the oldest demarcated and regulated wine region in the world (in 1756).
In it we can find the Pombaline landmark number 27, the last of the first demarcation.
It is situated on the south bank of the river Douro, along more than 45 hectares of vineyard.
It produces grapes of the richest grape varieties, whose vinification is made in granite mills, where they are traditionally trodden, in order to extract its best components.
The aging of their wines is made in oak casks, and then they are selected to find the perfect batches.
