With 150 years of experience in the production of Port Wines, Niepoort stands out for its originality.

Tawnies with an indication of age are the result of the mixture of different wines from different years. Niepoort produces Tawnies with 10, 20 and 30 years. The mastery of aging and blending is the art of the master blender José Nogueira. Long ageing in small oak casks gives it its characteristic golden colour. The main characteristics of a Tawny with indication of age are the complexity of the aromas, freshness, persistent bouquet and refinement.

It accompanies very well desserts based on nuts, eggs, caramel, vanilla or coffee. The matured cheeses are a good accompaniment. Slightly fresh, it can also be used as an aperitif and the combination with "fois gras" is very interesting.

Niepoort 10 Years presents a deep and intense golden colour, with an orange tinge, an aroma of candied fruit and dried apricots well combined with soft notes of nuts at the end.

Niepoort 20 Years has a good reddish-brown depth, with orange shades. Fabulous in aroma, with notes of crystallized fruit and dried apricots that are felt on the palate, well combined with soft notes of dried fruit (nuts) at the end.

Niepoort 30 years reveals a deep brown colour, with a greenish brown border, characteristic of the older Tawnies. On the nose, it shows a wine from another time, although very lively, with concentrated notes of coffee and liquor that extend in the mouth with a smooth and long finish.

Also the Port Wine 10 Years White should be highlighted. A unique and distinct White Port, made for the first time by Niepoort due to the exceptional quality of some old lots of Port. It reveals a golden colour, presents a complex aroma of dried fruits dominated by orange peel and dried figs, as well as toasted nuts and almonds. A floral touch completes the aroma. On the palate it is very fine and balanced, with a vibrant acidity balancing its sweet character, interacting with the brandy perfectly and giving the wine a superb structure. It should be served as an aperitif, but it also comes down as a dessert wine or simply alone at the end of a meal.

Avialable to order!
