The Agricultural Society Boas Quintas was born, in 1991, in the recognized region of Dão. It all began when Nuno Cancela de Abreu, the representative of the 4th generation of a family with an agricultural and wine tradition of more than 130 years, made the decision to dedicate all his experience and knowledge in viticulture and oenology to the service of an own project that allowed him to create wines of high quality, character and personality
<p></p><p>The family company CM Wines was founded in 2004 but its history starts 4 years ago, in 2000, when José António Costa Marques acquired a 2 hectares plot in the Silgueiros area, located in the Dão Demarcated Region.<br />Over the years the area of this company increased with the acquisition of various plots. Currently the vineyard area extends over 12 hectares in 5 distinct plots and 2 ha of olive grove</p>
<p></p><p>Lusus White Wine - The nose is complex showing a flinty minerality, waxy lemon peel, white peach and freshly toasted brioche. The wine opens us to show a complex stone fruits and soft floral notes. The palate shows power and great balance. Suggestive of juicy ripe citrus and grilled almonds. its amazing natural acid provides the wine longevity and clarity to the fruit. Fine structure and a nervous energy define this wine</p>
<p>Caves São João is an independent family business founded in 1920. This company has always been linked to avant-garde and tradition. In 1930 began to sell the sparkling wines and in 1959 began to commercialize quality bottled wines, both nationally and internationally.</p>
<p></p><p>Tinta Pinheira or Rufete is a grape variety that is rarely planted in Portugal but is found in some vineyards in the Dão. It has medium-sized bunches but lots of juice and ripens late. Textura da Estrela Tinta Pinheira is an open-coloured wine with lots of red fruit, good acidity but very delicate</p>
