<p>All'altezza di 640 metri, nel cuore del "Parco Internazionale di Douro", nasce il progetto DOURO COLINAS.<br />Si trova nella brusca transizione dei graniti dell'altopiano e le prime pieghe di scisto al fiume Douro che è, tra scogliere e scogliere, l'agriturismo con 450ha di cui 106ha di vigneto.</p>

<p>Quinta da Extrema Ensaios Extremes Touriga Nacional Red Wine is crafted from the finest parcels of Touriga Nacional grapes, situated at an altitude of 450 meters on transitional granite and slate soils. This unique positioning of the vineyards provides the grapes with optimal maturation and balance. The selection and harvesting of the grapes are done manually, ensuring that only the best are placed in 20 kg boxes for transportation. Once they reach the winery, the grapes undergo cold maceration for 48 hours in stainless steel tanks. The fermentation process then begins, lasting between 7 to 10 days at a controlled temperature of 23ºC. An integral part of the process is malolactic fermentation in new French oak barrels which contributes to the robust and complex flavor profile of the wine.</p>

<p>The Quinta da Extrema Ensaios Extremes Vinhas de Altitude Red Wine is produced from grapes which come from the high vineyards of Quinta da Extrema. These vineyards are planted with Touriga Nacional, Touriga Francesa, and Tinta Francisca grapes, carefully chosen from select parcels for their soil profile and sun exposure. The harvest is done manually, with transportation in 20kg boxes, ensuring utmost respect for the integrity of the fruit. In the winery, the wine is crafted in stainless steel tanks and French oak barrels, a process that emphasizes the purity of the fruit and the structure of the wine. <br /><br />After aging for 24 months in new French oak barrels, the wine is then bottled and matures for another year before it is ready to be enjoyed.</p>
