<p></p><p>Founded in 1884 by brothers Antonio and Francisco, the Sociedade dos Vinhos Borges soon became one of the main national winemaking companies. Taking into account that Portuguese wines can only establish themselves in the world by means of their excellence, Borges has always been committed to quality in its production, today exporting to more than fifty countries of the five continents</p>
<p></p><p>Quinta das Arcas has around 50ha, 35ha of vineyards stand out, around 30 years old, where under the influence of a very particular micro-climate grapes of high quality of the Loureiro, Trajadura and Arinto grapes are obtained.</p>

<p></p><p>In a natural amphitheater with a southern exposure on the slopes of the river Douro, located on the border between the granitic zone of the Vinhos Verdes Region and the shale region of the Port Wines, Quinta de Covela is located since the 16th century.<br />With panoramic views over the river, the farmhouse has 49 hectares, 18 of which planted with vines, distributed in two parishes of the Baixo Douro, São Tomé de Covelas and Santa Cruz do Douro, recognized for their extraordinary natural beauty and rich cultural history</p>

<p></p><p>Produced in the sub-region of Monção and Melgaço of the Vinho Verde Region in the north west of Portugal where Alvarinho grapes are exclusively grown. This wine is made from cool climate grapes grown in the mountainous Melgaço area, and shows the typical minerality and tight acidity derived from the local stony granite soils.</p>
