Produced in the Casa de Compostela this Vinho Verde is produced by the Loureiro and Arinto grape varieties
Casa Agricola de Compostela has, in the production of Vinho Verde, its strategic orientation since the beginning of its foundation. The praise from the wine community, rises from the many awards achieved, stimulating a new course from the 40 hectares of vineyards. At that time, apart from varieties that were traditionally cultivated – Loureiro, Trajadura and Arinto, new varieties were introduced such as Alvarinho, Sauvignon and Fernão Pires

Quinta das Arcas has around 50ha, 35ha of vineyards stand out, around 30 years old, where under the influence of a very particular micro-climate grapes of high quality of the Loureiro, Trajadura and Arinto grapes are obtained

Landcraft Alvarinho White Wine

On the banks of the River Minho is the iconic sub-region of Monção and Melgaço, where the emblematic variety of its name Alvarinho predominates. This wine is born in hillside vineyards, with Southwest exposure and in granitic soils. This terroir is characterized by a temperate Atlantic climate, with high levels of precipitation in winter and spring, during the maturation phase large thermal amplitudes allow the grapes to achieve slow and balanced maturation and with a vibrant and mineral acidity.

The objective of oenology was to respect the grapes as much as possible throughout the winemaking process, minimizing intervention in the cellar in order to maximize the expression of the terroir and particularly of the vineyard.

Sem Mal is a White wine making malolactic fermentation in bottle. The result is fresh, light and refreshing wine with a fine bubble. Aroma expressive and vibrant. The notes of fruit are citrus to which the wet stone joins. Slightly full bodied, very fresh, with "needle" and high acidity

A scented alvarinho is deep and delicate citrus notes. A balsamic that gives a very interesting character to enhance the freshness. In the mouth, it is fresh and elegant, with well integrated wood and a good body, finishing persistently. With potential for aging.

In keeping with the family tradition of several generations of Quinta de Golães, we have made this wine from grapes of the Alvarinho variety (more than 85%), in association with two other queen grape varieties, in the fifth and in the region - Loureiro and Trajadura. Combining old strains and new vines, in the unique terroir of this region, we obtained this wine of excellence: "the alvarinho da quinta". Citrus-colored and complex aroma, with pear notes and a little floral touch, resulting from the combination of the three varieties, we can taste a full-bodied, balanced and fresh wine.

On the nose, Quinta de Monforte Alvarinho White Wine reveals lively aromas of lime zest, grapefruit, and subtle hints of green tea, underpinned by a flinty minerality. The palate delivers crisp acidity, a rounded mouthfeel, and a dynamic blend of pineapple, green apple, and citrus, finishing clean and refreshing. Serve it well-chilled to elevate seafood, sushi, or light vegetable dishes—it’s a versatile white that brings energy and sophistication to the table.
