It was the current management that decided to take on the challenge that is involved in creating an own brand wine. 1997 was the year of the company's new beginning in wine making, with red wine "Terras do Po tinto", being the first to be produced and bottled on the premises of the Ermelinda Freitas winery</p>

<p>Catarina White Wine is dedicated to Catherine of Braganza, Princess of Portugal and Queen of England. The year 1981 was also marked by the birth of a Catarina with strong ties to the company.</p>
<p></p><p>Herdade do Cebolal is located on the Costa Alentejana, at the southern end of the demarcated region of the Setúbal Peninsula, near the village of Vale das Éguas about 17 kilometers from Cacém and 10 kilometers from the Atlantic.</p>
