Romeira Garrafeira is a premium red wine from the Lisboa region, produced by Caves Velhas, a historic Portuguese winery known for combining traditional techniques with modern winemaking. Crafted from selected vineyard parcels and classic Portuguese grape varieties such as Castelão, Tinta Miúda, and Trincadeira, the wine undergoes fermentation followed by extended aging in French oak barrels. After barrel maturation, it is further aged in bottle, allowing complexity, elegance, and structure to develop before release.
Romeira Garrafeira Red Wine presents deep ruby in color, with aromas of ripe red and dark fruits complemented by notes of spice, vanilla, and chocolate from oak aging. On the palate, it is refined and well-structured, with polished tannins, balanced acidity, and a long, persistent finish. Serve at 16–18 °C. Ideal pairing with roasted or grilled red meats, game dishes, and mature cheeses.
