The brothers Antonio and Edmar Monteiro are the founders of the 1912 Winemakers company. The passion for the world of wine comes early in the life of these two brothers, who since childhood helped their father at the Quinta de São Bernardo property on the banks of the Douro River. Later they acquired Quinta de Águas, which allowed them to increase production but maintaining the same quality as the wines produced

<p></p><p>5Quinta Vale d'Aldeia – located in the Meda region in the heart of the Upper Douro – is a project born of one family’s effort and dedication, with the main aim of producing outstanding wines. </p>
<p></p><p>The history of the 100HECTARES wines begins in the early 70’s.</p> <p>The estates of the family are the origin of their wines, and the production is made exclusively from grapes coming from their properties, which is at the heart of the family’s production philosophy</p>
<p></p><p>Casa Ferreirinha and its wines are synonymous with quality, time and art. Thus it has been since the company’s founding in the eighteenth century by Bernardo Ferreira, whose formula was refined by his descendants, especially his granddaughter Dona Antónia Adelaide Ferreira, known affectionately as Ferreirinha or Ferreirinha-da-Régua</p>
<p></p><p>Quinta do Couquinho spans across 70 hectares, of which approximately 60 hectares are cultivated. Filled mostly with vineyards and olive groves, a small orchard of almond, orange, clementine, fig and apple trees complete the landscape. Located in the Douro Superior area of the Douro Demarcated Region, it borders the Alto Douro Wine Region, the area that was classified by UNESCO as a world heritage site in 2001</p>
<p></p><p>Quinta do Pessegueiro Plenitude presents deep ruby colour. Gum rockrose aromas with an initial hints of berries, followed by flavours of ripe blackberries and blueberries, ending with a slightly spice, balsamic touch. The tannins are present but elegantly in this full-bodied wine with great volume, very well-integrated wooden notes, and a long, very persistent finish</p>
