This Douro red wine is produced with grapes from various vineyards of the Vieira de Sousa Family over 40 years old, with the most varied traditional Douro varieties.

Quinta da Casa Amarela has been in the possession of the same family since the year 1885. The housing, rebuilt and expanded in the first quarter of the last century, lends the name to the property, because of the yellow color with which it is painted . Family-oriented company, continuation of the multicentennial traditions of the region, in the art of producing Port Wine and Douro Denomination of Origin Wine

At Quinta do Vallado one can often observe three "Melros" - the common blackbird, and the protected species white-throated dipper and blue rock thrush - wich served as inspiration for the name and label of this wine.

Quinta do Ventozelo is one of the largest and oldest Douro Quintas. It has been passing through different hands over the centuries, hands that shaped it and transformed it to what it is today.

Maçanita Reserva White Wine presents yellow citrus color, fresh aroma with citrus and mineral notes. In the mouth it is silky with fantastic acidity, making the wine very firm

Pôpa Tinta Amarela presents open ruby colour, delicate aroma of red and blackcurrants, hints of forest, dry earth and a mixture of fresh aromatic herbs. Full of freshness on the palate, fairly light-bodied, delicately structured, with a vegetal flavour.

These are wines that begin to be designed when they are pruned and which, after entering the cellar, undergo as little intervention as possible.

The profile of the wine is determined by the year in climatic terms. Only released in years when the behaviour of the plot meets the expectations of the profile and quality required.

Wines that, by combining freshness with notes of complexity and finesse, together with a suggestive persistence, are well suited to various types of gastronomy and a variety of dishes.

It all began in 1918 when on 15 August, a few months before the Armistice, Manoel Domingues Poças Júnior, born in the heart of the Port Wine hustle and bustle, decided to establish his own company.
With his uncle, he created a company to sell grape spirits to large Port Wine shippers. Soon afterwards he opened the head offices in Vila Nova de Gaia, where they remain to this date.
Today, with three quintas in the best winemaking areas of the Douro Demarcated Region, Poças ensures its total control over the quality of its wines and the family is more involved than ever before

Bright red color, with good intensity. Elegant and deep on the nose. Fresh and very attractive profile. Notes of red fruits and flowers. Soft attack, fine tannins, fresh acidity, good balance and long finish.
