Dona Matilde is one of the oldest and most renowned properties in the Douro region. Located beside the beautiful road between Régua and Pinhão, alongside the river, the farm is recorded in the legendary maps of Barão de Forrester.

    <p>Dona Matilde White Wine was produced from the grape varieties Arinto, Viosinho, Gouveio and Rabigato. It is a wine with a citric colour and a very intense citric aroma, with tropical notes, anise, some passion fruit, mango and hints of pineapple, a fresh finish with notes of orange and lemon verbena. In the mouth it has a taste of tropical fruits, with a balanced acidity, a great structure and a long aftertaste.</p>

        <p>Matilde Reserva Red Wine is produced from the region’s own grape varieties Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca and Tinta Amarela and fermented by the traditional method of treading the grapes by foot in granite tanks. It aged for 18 months in new French oak barrels. The colour is ruby and the aroma is intense and complex to black plum and fig, followed by cedar. In the mouth the wine is voluptuous and with a good acidity. Tannins are well present but very smooth, resulting in a perfect balance and long-lasting after taste.</p>

It is a wine with a ruby color, with a complex aroma, initially to cherry and strawberry followed by mint, fig and spices. In the mouth it is soft and smooth but with plenty of volume and structure. The wine shows hints of strawberry throughout the taste. Long aftertaste.</p>
