The production of wine in the family dates back to the time of the grandfather Fernando, who planted most of our vineyards and instilled in us the taste for the vineyard and wine sector.

For many years the farm sold wine grapes for Porto and only produced Douro wine for its own consumption.
Result of the professional experience accumulated since 1997 at Real Companhia Velha, a company with 250 years of fabulous history in Port wine, decided in 2002 to start a new stage in the life of the house through the production and commercialization of Douro DOC wines. In mind just one objective: the production of high quality wines - ESMERO, what good the Douro has to offer!
They believe that old vines have a potential that can not be overlooked and should be valued.
