
Isabel and Pedro Carmo are responsible for the Quinta de Cottas project. Located in the Alijó Valley, this 10 hectare property enjoys the necessary conditions to produce excellent Port and Douro wines.
Unlike the old vineyards with around 70 years old and more than 16 varieties mixed, the new vineyards were planted separately in well-defined areas.
From the beginning of the project it was defined that Quinta de Cottas would produce quality wines with a distinct personality that expressed its unique terroir. In order to achieve this goal, Quinta de Cottas have invested in the Douro's leading wine grape varieties: Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Tinto Cão, Sousão and Tinta Francisca for reds and Viosinho, Gouveio and Arinto for whites.
