António Augusto Ferreira, producer of Dona Francisca, developed this brand with the French winemaker Jean-Hugues Gros, and the result is a unique wine.
An old passion for the land, the Douro and wine led him and his wife, Joana Queiroz Ribeiro, to abandon their previous life and dedicate themselves, body and soul, to the production of this wine.

Dona Francisca intends to be a wine brand with its own identity, guided by simplicity, which represents the essence of the Douro valley and the rhythm of its terraces.
