Magma Wines is the name of the project that began to take shape in 2009, when Diogo Lopes and Anselmo Mendes, proposed to accompany the winemaking at Adega Cooperativa dos Biscoitos and start bottling the wine that was produced there. Years later, they took over the management of the winery and thus the Magma wine brand was consolidated.
Located in Terceira Island, in the Azores archipelago, more precisely in the parish of Biscoitos. The vineyard is planted on volcanic rocks, practically over the sea. This condition offers to the Verdelho variety an extraordinary potential, with an Atlantic expression, with everything to impose itself in the market and bring value to the cooperative winery and local producers.
Magma and Muros de Magma are the two wines produced by this duo of winemakers in the Azores and, like the other wines they produce, will not leave wine lovers indifferent.
